Aashman began his chess journey just a year ago, but his growth has been nothing short of impressive. He secured a silver medal at the Kashmir Open Chess Tournament in the Under-9 category and proudly represented Jammu & Kashmir in the U9 National Chess Championship held in Pune — a big achievement for someone so young!

What truly sets Aashman apart is his patience and deep love for long-format classical games, a rare quality in young players. His ability to stay calm under pressure and think through complex positions shows the makings of a future champion.
